Bottomed POETEKA & Reading Balkan: Do we know much about the contemporary literature of our neighbouring countries

Botimet POETEKA & Reading Balkans collaboration:

A short report on yesterday's "Ditënetët e Librit" (organised by KLIK EKSPO GROUP & Tirana International Book Fair - supported by Albanian Ministry of Culture.)

Do we know much about the contemporary literature of our neighbouring countries or are the doors closed to others than literary classics?
Poeteka Albania and Botimet poeteka believe that contemporary authors from the Balkans deserve more attention and promotion.

They have so far published works by authors such as Tomaz Salmun, Luan Starova, Gerogi Gospodinov,  Xhevahir Spahiu, Srdjan Valjarević, Nikola Madzirov, Ardian Kyçyku, Faruk Šehić, Arian Leka, Emir Imamović Pirke, Ben Andoni, Vladimir Arsenijević, Laura Smaqi, Lejla Kalamujić, Andrej Nikolaidis, Aleksander Hemon, and many others.

Thanks to the "Poeteka" lit-festival, literary residence "Poeteka - Tirana in between" and cooperation of important institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, Traduki, Creative Europe, the Goethe Institute or recently the Reading Balkans Program, over 35 authors from the region and Europe have visited and created their works in Tirana.

During her stay at "POETEKA - Tirana in Between" literary residence, Emina Žuna will be taking part of the "Ditënetët e librit" book festival in Tirana, Albania.

The event and the meeting took place on May 17th at 12.30 at the National Historical Musem.
