European Residence Programme for Writers and Literary Translators

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
for Authors and Literary Translators from South East Europe
In cooperation with TRADUKI, Assosiacion Poeteka in Albania will take up again its European Residence Programme for Writers and Literary Translators "Tirana in Betweeen" in 2016 as well.
The proposal of the programme "Tirana in Between" is to facilitate writers and literary translators to work on their project for one month, to collaborate with the literary, art, and media scene in Albania, while at the same time to promote literature and the work of the guest - authors to the local art community in Tirana.
Writers and literary translators from the following Southeast European countries: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosova, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia, are invited to submit their applications no later than December 20th, 2015.
Are remarkably welcomed translators translating from Albanian into German and Southeast European languages, also vice versa.
The residence stay includes covered costs for accommodation in the city of Tirana in the duration of one month, travelling expenses and a scholarship in the amount of EUR 800.
The application (in Albanian, English or German) ought to contain the following papers:
- A CV (contact data and a proposal for the month of residence in 2016 included)
- A Bibliography
- A short description of planned activities in Tirana
- A recommendation (from an association of writers or translators, a publisher, a writer, etc.)
